Meininger Hotel Amsterdam opens

As of summer 2012, tourists and business visitors to Amsterdam can stay in a brand new hotel from German chain Meininger Hotels.

The new Meininger Hotel in Amsterdam officially opened its doors on 10 August, celebrating the occasion by hosting a design market.

The new Hotel Amsterdam City West has 219 rooms spread across eight floors, and guests can make use of modern facilities, such as free Wi-Fi throughout the whole hotel and internet terminals.

Reflecting its wide variety of visitors, Amsterdam has an impressive range of hotels, from world-class five-star establishments to floating ‘botels’.

The Meininger Hotel combines the best of both a normal hotel and a hostel, and is therefore a unique addition to the range of hotels that are already located in Amsterdam.

Dutch design

To celebrate the opening of the new Meininger Hotel in Amsterdam, DaWanda and Meininger group organised a DaWanda NL Design Market.

On 12 August 2012, 100 DaWanda designers presented their handmade bags, clothes accessories and other products in some of the rooms of the Hotel Amsterdam City West.
